South Africa win Africa Track Cycling Championship as Team Nigeria finish 4th

South Africa Sunday in Abuja beat 13 other countries to win the Africa Track Cycling Championship held at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
The country amassed a total of 43 medals comprising 20 gold, 13 silver and 9 bronze.
Egypt placed second with 8 hold, 8 silver and 10 silver while Algeria came third with 5 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals.
Host Nigeria got 4 gold, 7silver and 6bronze medals to end with 17 medals while Morocco followed with 4 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze. Benin Republic and Cote d’Ivoire garnered one bronze medal each.
