Imo Guber 2023: Ngor Okpala leaders endorse Uzodimma

In a meeting held in Umuneke the council headquarters of Ngor Okpala local government area on Tuesday, notable leaders and stakeholders in the area have endorsed governor Hope Uzodimma for another term of four years.

The endorsement followed a motion moved by Mr Cajetan Akuta, state publicity secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo. Mr Akuta who noted many laudable accomplishments recorded by the shared prosperity administration of the governor expressed the need for the people of Ngor Okpala to reaffirm the endorsement that was registered earlier by the people of Owerri zone.

The endorsement motion which  was seconded by Okenze Sylvester Obinna (Okenze Ngor Okpala ) was well accepted by all and sundry who were in attendance during the meeting.

Speaking earlier before the endorsement, Chief Enyinna Onuegbu, Engr Jude Ukaegbu, Hon. Theo Ihediuba and Hon. Obinna Egu in their individual remarks enumerated several dividends of democracy that is being delivered in the area by the governor such as ongoing construction and reconstruction of Imerienwe/Umuekwune, Nguru/Umuneke, and Airport road among several other laudable people’s oriented initiatives.

They further eulogized the governor for his visionary leadership strides in the State and therefore urged the people of Ngor Okpala to ensure that they throw their weight of support by voting for the governor come November 11th 2023.

Hon. Kizito Onuoha who couldn’t hide his feelings when he stood up to speak on behalf of former chieftains of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ngor Okpala who recently joined the shared prosperity government of the APC, also lauded the governor over his visionary leadership prowess, describing APC in the area as a home for all while reiterating of unalloyed support to the governor.

Issues concerning membership revalidation was part of agendas of the meeting.

Other leaders and stakeholders who were in attendance at the meeting include: Prof. B G Nworgu, Chief Mayor Nweke, Chief. Chidi Eke,Barr Soronnadi Njoku, Chief Val Okere, Dr Perry Njoku, Hon. Chimezie Nweke,Sir Richard Obi-Chioma, Chief Bona Nwoke, Chief Mrs Chika Ibekwe,Mrs Beatrice Nkwo, Mrs Leona Nkwocha, Mrs Georginia Onyeulor, Comr. Godson Okereke, Chief Lawrence Achinihu, Sir Donchris Okere, Hon. George Onwukwe, Hon. Vitalis Opara,Chief Morrison Njoku, Mr Nonso Amaliri,Nze Hycienth Nkwocha,Nze Opara Ngor and Mr Afam Sylvester.
