Private Security Firm Rescues Kidnap Victim, Hands Suspects To Police In Ondo

Personnel of a private security company, Gallery Security Services Limited (GSSL), at the weekend, rescued an abducted woman from a palm plantation in Iju-Osun community, Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The 37-year-old trader, identified as Mrs. Morenike Falona, was reportedly abducted about 10pm on June 16, 2026 from her residence at Orelopo Street in Irele Town and was rescued unharmed on June 19 about 6:30pm.

Acting on credible intelligence, the security outfit reportedly deployed a team of 20 operatives after the kidnappers, which resulted in the rescue of the victim and the apprehension of two suspects identified as Obibodefiyie Ajuesie, 36, from Ajapa community, and Monday Lucky, 37, popularly known as “Gazilo,” from Akpata community, both in in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state.

The GSSL Security Manager, Navy Lieutenant Zakari Abdullahi (Rtd), told newsmen that the two suspects have been handed over to the Ajagba Divisional Police Station in Irele for further investigation.

Abdullahi restated the company’s commitment to supporting conventional security agencies in the protection of lives and property in the state.

Also, the GSSL Chief Executive Officer, Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, commended members of the public that provided timely and actionable information that contributed to the rescue mission.

Ajube equally urged residents of Ondo South Senatorial District to be vigilant and continue to cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities.

He said: “We advise all criminal elements operating within Ondo South Senatorial District to desist from their activities or be ready to face the full weight of the law.

“Gallery Security Services, in collaboration with relevant security agencies and local communities, will continue to identify, apprehend, and hand over offenders for prosecution.”

According to him, the successful operation demonstrated the company’s extensive local knowledge, strong community relationships, and proven experience in intelligence-led security operations across the wider Niger Delta region.
