Chinese , Germany Consular General Ned Nwoko to Champion Chioma Ajunnwa’s Advocacy Programme

The Chioma Ajunwa Foundation in conjunction with the Presidency, Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Consular General of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Community in Nigeria, have concluded plans for the 2026 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking holding at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos.
To this end, conveyor of the programme, DCP Mrs. Chioma Ajunwa Opara ( rtd ), who revealed this in Lagos, said this year’s programme promises to be most impactful and beneficial, using sports and advocacy to drive home the message of a drug-free society.
Besides, information reaching us has it that there will be high profile guests at the event including the Consular General of the People’s Republic of China as the Special guest of honour while the Deputy Consular General of the Germany Embassy in Lagos, will equally grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour, thereby highlighting strong international support for anti-drug advocacy and youth development.
Meanwhile, Distinguished Senator, Prince Ned Nwoko and the Executive Chairman of Ajeromi- Ifelodun Local Government Area will be there as the Vice chairman of the day, adding strong vital grassroots governmental presence to the event.
Also to be well represented are traditional institutions as his Majesty, Eze Christian Okechukwu, the Eze Igbo I of Lagos state who is serving as the Royal father of the Day while the Assistants Inspector General of Police, (AIG ) Mrs. Omolara, the Commandant of Police College, Ikeja is the Royal Mother of the Day
Expected to be at the event also is Bishop Chris Akano, of the Revival City Church, Ikeja, alongside other notable religious personalities, not forgetting Security, Diplomatic and Sports Communities.
This year’s campaign against Drug Abuse is indeed unique for the fact that it cuts across all sections of the society considering the calibre of individuals listed to grace the occasion.
To set the ball rolling, ahead of the D-Day, the Olympian, Chioma Ajunnwa’s Veteran Female football team will tackle the NDLEA WADA Male team on Thursday, 25 June 2026 in a football match at 3 pm.
Venue is the Police College field, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
