Agulanna sues for peace in Imo PDP, inaugurates solidarity group

House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala federal constituency, Engr. Albert Chibuzor Agulanna, has advised all leaders and members of the PDP in Imo State to drop pre and post party primaries prejudices and grievances in the interest of the party as well as for victory in the coming general elections.

Agulanna made the appeal Monday while speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of Restoration Mandate 2023 Support Group, Ngor Okpala LGA chapter held at the residence of the LGA Coordinator, Cyril N. Nwogu, at Umuohiagu in Ngor Okpala LGA.

The candidate who remarked that the intraparty elections had come and gone emphasized that the only task facing the party currently is winning the 2023 elections at all levels and posited that all hands should be on deck to achieve that.

He noted that all members must as matter of necessity work assiduously for the victory for PDP presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar and other candidates in order to prepare the grounds for reclaiming the governorship seat in the state.

He appealed to all aggrieved persons to accept the outcome of the party primaries with equanimity in the overall interest of the party stressing that victory of PDP in the general elections will take care of all Internal issues.

Engr. Agulanna commended the initiative of the support group and assured them of his partnership while urging them to remain loyal to the leadership of PDP at all levels and also work for the victory of Hon. Uche Onyeagucha, Imo East senatorial candidate and Chief Kingsley Odionyemma, for the Ngor Okpala state constituency seat.

In a keynote address, the Director-General of Restoration Mandate 2023, Ikemba Martin Opara, applauded the initiative of the group to rally support for the Reps candidate and advised them to pursue their goal with decorum.

Opara who harped seriously on unflinching loyalty and discipline maintained that PDP has positioned itself to clinch victory in 2023 and would not tolerate anti-party activities from anybody or group.

In his welcome address, the convener and LGA coordinator of the group, Comrade Cyril N. Nwogu(Power) disclosed that the mission of the support group is to complement the effort of the party and Engr. Agulanna to win landslide in the February 25, 2023 national assembly polls.

He assured that his group is deliberately poised to deliver on the vision and mandate to ensure victory for Agulanna as well the PDP in Ngor Okpala council area.

Highlight of the occasion was the formal inauguration of the LGA, Ward and Chapter Steering Committees of Restoration Mandate 2023.
