Africa U17 AFCON: Adeyemi tips Eaglets to beat Morocco

By George Aluo

Youthful Switzerland based Nigerian gaffer, Anthony Adeyemi has tipped the Golden Eaglets to beat Morocco today and forge ahead at the U-17 AFCON in Algeria.

Adeyemi who passionately follows Nigerian teams at international meets noted that his optimism stems from the fact that Nduka Ugbade is doing a good job and has assembled a bunch of real U 17 lads that are talented.

He stressed that the Eaglets would have scored more goals against Zambia in their first game of the tournament if they were a bit less nervous.

“Ugbade I m sure will talk to the kids to be less nervous in their approach to the game against Morocco. We have an edge after watching the Nigeria, Zambia game and that of Morocco, South Africa. We also need to avoid the long balls as we saw against Zambia. On the whole, I think the Eaglets will win against Morocco and book their place in the quarter finals,” Adeyemi said.

Adeyemi who is with Fc Witikon in the Swiss 3liga said the Golden Eaglets would definitely improve with every game played out there in Algeria even as he charged Ugbade to look beyond AFCON as Nigeria has got what it takes to rule the world again at the U17 level.
