Runsewe excited as dignitaries arrive Abuja for Nigeria Golf Summit

Top dignitaries from African countries and some parts of Europe are expected to arrive Abuja today (Wednesday) for the 2nd Nigeria Nigeria Golf Summit taking place at the NICON Luxury Hotel in Abuja.
A World Handicap System official from Ghana, A. Solomon, has arrived Abuja for the event ahead of other dignitaries expected to come in today.
The President of the Nigeria Golf Federation, Otunba Segun Runsewe, on Tuesday expressed delight about the prospect of the expected guests.
Runsewe said the event would be an in-house summit at the NICON Summit between Wednesday and Friday.
Tuesday is the arrival day for the participants and more will be in Abuja on today as the Conference holds Thursday while the participants are expected to depart Friday.
Runsewe added that a total of 50 Golf Clubs are expected to attend the summit with a captain and handicap secretary of each club.
It is anticipated that about 250 golfers and stakeholders from African countries and some parts of Europe will attend the NGS in Abuja.
“I am really excited with the number of dignitaries who have confirmed to be in Abuja. It will be held in accordance with global best practices in the sport.
“We have worked so hard on logistics and I can categorically say we are ready for this big event with many people coming from all parts of the world,” Runsewe noted.
His Royal Highness, Oba Sahees Ademola Elegushi is the Royal Father of the event which is expected to attract top personalities.
Chairman of Trobel Nigeria limited, Mr. Lawal Garba, is the Chairman of the summit, HRH Oba Sahees Elegushi, is father of the day, while Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Former governor of Osun State, and Sen. Simon Bako Lalong, are the Special guests of honour at the event to be hosted by the president of NGF, Otunba Runsewe.
