Togo will host memorable wrestling training session for West African mats men- Adamou

Togolese Sports Director, Bawa Adamou has expressed optimism that the planned training of West African wrestlers slated for 2024 in the country will be memorable.
He gave the assurance during a meeting organised by Association Togolese de catch ( ATCATCH) to intimate him about the event.
The meeting which has in attendance, ATCATCH President, Adam Habib, the association’s Secretary General, Kpatch Kpatchassou Kodjo and the Pro Wrestling Africa ( PWA) Secretary General, Nigerian Sesan Olukoya who travelled to the country purposely for the meeting enabled them to rob minds on a smooth training programme.
Speaking while welcoming them in his office, the Director of Sports, expressed his joy for the choice of Togo to host the timely training of West African athletes in professional wrestling scheduled for February, 2024 and being organised by the Pro Wrestling Africa ( PWA) in conjunction with the Florida, USA based Golden Wrestling Federacy ( GWF) and AtCATCH, the home based organisation.
He advised ATCATCH to commence all plannings and logistics for the programme now in order to record huge success.
The Director also spoke on the need for a well-defined timetable on the training schedule and that efforts must be made to ensure that all participating countries have the correct accreditation before the commencement of the event even as he gave full assurance of the availability of his management and their support throughout the duration of the training programme.
In his response, President of ATCATCH, promised the Director that his association in collaboration with their partners will ensure a seamless training noting that Togolese athletes will benefit immensely from the programme.
Also speaking, Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa, Sesan Olukoya noted that the plan of the organisers is to make West Africa hub of professional wrestling in the continent noting that he was very excited with the reception extended to the team by the Director.
He was optimistic that at the end of next year’s training, many Togolese and athletes from other West African countries will be discovered who will who will later be nurtured to make the sub- region a force to be reckoned with in the sports.
At the end of the meeting, T-shirts, face caps, wrist bands, pins of GWF and the Golden Boy were presented to the Sports Director courtesy of Golden Boy.
