All is now set for Best Talent Football Club of Mowe to lock horns against MKA Football Club in the Maiden edition of Nextgen Elite Championship Pre Season Cup.
The pre season tourney which runs from Sunday, 12th to Wednesday,15th July, 2026, is designed to serve as a test run to private league coming up later in the year.
But, the hostility will take place at Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun state where some carefully selected high flying football clubs in the state have been pitched against each other to pilot the muddy water.
This championship is aimed at preparing private clubs ahead of the upcoming football season while providing entertainment for fans during the off-season. The competition will feature four matches daily, except for designated rest days, ensuring continuous excitement throughout the week.
The competition will feature 12 teams which include : Best Talent FC, Super Acurate, Fun Twins, Elegant FA, Aremu FC, New Hope Naija FC and Supreme God. Others are: Easy Nter Global, MKA FA, Anumorigba, FC and Crystal FC .
In the groupings, the top two finalists will clash at the final
Group A comprises:
Super Accurate FC, Funtwins FC and B.E Arena while Group B includes Best Talent FC, Easy Nter and MKA FC. For group C, we have Elegant FA, Aremu Fc and Kehinde Adeniji FA while Group D houses NewHope Naija FC, Crystal FC and Supreme God.
Speaking while Best Talent Football Club are keying into the pre season.tourney, the Chairman, Best Talent FC, Mr Adeyinka Adeyemo elaborated on the objectives of participating in the preseason saying it is geared towards building on football culture and tourism and also giving players optimum visibilities the club is known for.
“I think we decided to be part of this pre season tourney with a view to fostering football tourism in Nigeria by attracting local and international teams”.
“This approach not only stimulates business opportunities for our players, but it also energises football fans and creating valuable partnerships for brands and other business opportunities”
The General Manager of the Integrity side, Sikiru Ibrahim posited that the championship will afford the club to know the newly acquired players better and the areas that require urgent attention “We are delighted to be part of this pre season cup and this engagement will give us more insights into the strength of the team and address where necessary.”
