CAF WAFU-B: Crisis looms in Bayelsa Queens camp as board members accuse Chairman of running a one man show

The Camp of the reigning Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL)Champions, Bayelsa Queens is brewing with a looming crisis just days to the commencement of the CAF WAFU-B Championship in Cote D’Ivoire.

News coming out of the team according to a reliable source indicates that the Chairman Pastor Robin Apreala is running what could pass for a one man show as if the club has no properly constituted board.

Our sources reliably gathered the chairman has singlehandedly picked those traveling to Cote’d Ivoire with his wife and son on the list, even as board members were dropped.

According to our very competent source Pastor Robin Apreala dropped those who are supposed to be running the club with him for his wife (Jane Apreala) and son (Ebimibomwie Isreal Apreala) and a few other unknown characters for the Ivorian trip.

Our source further disclosed that the Board Members are also accusing Pastor Robin Apreala of illegally transferring the club’s Super Falcons midfielder Amanda Uju Mbandi to Turkish club Atasehir Belediyespor.

Our source said Mbandi’s deal to Turkey was done under the table with the chairman and secretary Mrs Grace Alagoa claiming that they don’t know the whereabout of the player.

In the words of our source…”The Board members are also fuming about the high handedness of Pastor Robin Apreala in awarding the Catering service at the new camp of the team to his wife without their knowledge.”

All efforts to reach the media officer of the club and Chairman to react to these allegations proved abotive as calls put across to them were not answered nor returned.

The board members are said to be calling on the governor of Bayelsa State Douye Diri and the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Dr Baraladei Daniel Igali to act fast to avoid what could turn out to affect the team’s campaign in the continent.
