Ezemba monarch holds grand reception for Australian daughter’s quadruplets

Australian man, Craig Hogan, his wife, Princess Chi Blessing Craig Hogan recently blessed with a set of quadruplet were at the weekend treated to a sumptuous and lavish reception by his father in-law, HRH Eze Anthony Ekwe, the Traditional Ruler of Umueze Ezemba Autonomous Community, and the good people of his community in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State.
The event which attracted notable traditional rulers and several other eminent figures from across the state featured the popular Bongo music maestro, Emeka Acholonu of Igolo fame and the cultural Igba Ndieze troupe.
The elated couple, Craig and Princess Blessing, in gorgeous Igbo traditional attire, joyfully dashed to the stage and danced delightedly to the melodious renditions as the quadruplets of three boys and one girl were formally presented to the excited guests in line with Igbo tradition, in a precession led by Rev. Fr. Agubata Opara.
Traditional rulers present at the event led by HRM Eze Fred O. Nwachukwu, Deputy State Chairman of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers received the newborns, blessed and prayed for them and their parents.
In his welcome speech, the Chief Host and father in-law to the Australian, Eze Ekwe thanked God for making the day possible with the rare gift of a quadruplets given to his daughter and son in-law.
The royal father explained that the occasion was to appreciate God’s blessings, formally receive the new babies in their maternal home as well as shower royal blessings on them.
The Eze commended his brother monarchs who came to show solidarity with his family and prayed God to sustain the blessings for his daughter and son in-law, Craig.
Notable among personalities that graced the occasion were traditional title holders from Ezemba like Chief Sir. Fidelis C. Opara, Chief Charles Ashimole, Okenze Kevin Ekeocha, Chief Alex Anaemeje, Chief Prof. Canice Asonye, Chief Dr. Hyacinth Emele, business mogul and banker, Eziefula Opara among numerous others.
Highpoint of the occasion was the naming and blessing of the quadruplets by the royal fathers present and their parents.
