Hon. Egu attracts 233 solar street light poles to Obiangwu Community

The member representing Ngor Okpala State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Obinna Egu, Ph.D. has announced that he has attracted 233 solar-powered street light poles to Obiangwu Autonomous Community, through the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Addressing the leaders and people of the community during a stakeholders’ engagement with the community, Egu thanked the people of Obiangwu for the confidence reposed in him and restated his commitment to justify their trust by delivering more dividends of democracy to their doorstep.
The lawmaker urged the community to continue their support for Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration, noting that he is the one who makes it possible for him to attract projects back home.
Hon. Egu used the occasion to also appeal to them to cooperate with the contractor to ensure smooth execution of the project and assured them of continued efforts to extend development across other parts of Ngor Okpala.
During the occasion, the atmosphere was filled with excitement as women, youths, and residents erupted in cheers, commending Rt. Hon. Egu for his dedication to the community’s progress.
The spontaneous outpouring of gratitude reflected the people’s appreciation for his effective representation.
It would be recalled that Obiangwu becomes the sixth community to benefit from Hon. Egu’s solar street light initiative, as the latest community joins Umuohiagu, Imerienwe, Umuhu Nnorie, and Ngor, while efforts are ongoing to extend the project to more communities in the state constituency.
Responding, community leaders, including the President-General, Chief Charles Anyanwu (CSP red) and other prominent stakeholders, who spoke on behalf of Obiangwu people poured encomiums on the lawmaker.
They prayed for God’s continued enablement to attract more development to the community and other parts of the constituency
Notable among those who graced the occasion were; Dr Perry Njoku, Chief Charles Akuchie, Leader of Ngor Okpala Legislative Council, Hon. Chibuike Agbugba, other councillors, community leaders and stalwarts of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
