Incoming Anglican Primate visits Ihedioha, prays for Imo

The newly elected Primate of the Anglican Church who is the serving Anglican Bishop of Jos, The Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba has paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Imo State, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha at the Government House, Owerri, where he prayed for the peace, progress and prosperity of the state.
Receiving the incoming primate, Governor Ihedioha described his August visit as a rare privilege to have him a son of the State emerging as the new head of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).
According to the Governor: “Today is indeed a special day that God has made having coincided with the inauguration of the Imo Thanksgiving Committee.”
He added, “I want Imo State to be remembered for good things…positive stories. You evoke positives…thats what our state should reflect.”
Responding, The Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba stated that the governor and his team are capable men and women whom God has chosen, and with a mandate given by God.
He expressed optimism that the new administration would excel in carrying out its mandate of rebuilding the state and prayed God to give the government the enablement to remain focused in tackling the numerous challenges inherited by the administration.
