Insurance beat Rangers to lift FA Cup, secure continental ticket

Bendel Insurance have emerged the FA Cup champions after beating Rangers by a lone goal in Asaba.

A 45th minute penalty converted by Imade was what gave the Benin Arsenal victory in a match watched by a sparse crowd.

Rangers got reduced to 10 men following the penalty, a situation that did not help their effort to salvage the day.

Insurance will now fly Nigeria’s flag in the CAF Confederation Cup alongside Rivers United.
