National Sports Festival : NVBF Commends NSC, Organizing Committee for Inclusion of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball
The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has commended the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Enugu 2026 National Sports Festival Organizing Committee for including Volleyball and Beach Volleyball in the forthcoming Games to be hosted by Enugu State
The Federation particularly commended Chairman of the Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko and the Director- General Bukola Olopade, for their leadership and commitment to the growth and development of volleyball in Nigeria.
The Federation noted that the inclusion of both disciplines is a significant boost to talent identification, athlete development and competitive opportunities across the country just as it stated that it will also strengthen the pathway for athletes from the grassroots to national and international competitions.
The Federation called on all State Ministries/Departments responsible for Sports, State Sports Councils and State Volleyball Associations to commence preparations immediately and conduct trials to select their best Volleyball and Beach Volleyball athletes for Enugu 2026.
