Ndigbo won’t be marginalized under Tinubu -Muruako

Despite litigations challenging Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC pronouncement of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressives Congress, APC as the President -Elect in the next political dispensation in Nigeria and coupled with fears of possible hatred of Igbo ethnic nationality by his government, Hon. Victor Muruako has assured that the incoming Federal Government won’t marginalize Ndigbo.

Muruako who’s the incumbent Chairman, Fiscal Responsibility Commission, FRC and popularly known as Ekwueme Gburugburu, disclosed this in Owerri on Thursday when he led critical political stakeholders of Owerri – West Local Government Area for a press conference at the Conference Hall of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Imo State Council.

He thanked Ndi – Imo for their massive support to APC during the 2023 elections just as he expressed gratitude to Nigerians for electing the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima as the President and Vice President of Nigeria, respectively.

According to him, “I have no doubt that the nation stands to benefit immensely from their rich experiences, capabilities and mental strength. Asiwaju is obviously coming with rich footprints in bridge-building, national healing, and developmental economics” he assured.

The astute politician expressed satisfaction on the overwhelming support Imo people gave to APC during the State House of Assembly elections which he described as a clear indication that the populace are appreciative of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s giant strides achievement and an unequivocal vote of confidence in his leadership.

He commended the Governor for providing inclusive, strong, focused and results oriented leadership and governance.

Muruako also advised the winners of the last elections to be magnanimous in victory and the losers to take it in good faith while urging all to make recourse to due process where there are strong disagreements.

According to him, ” I want to reaffirm the truth to Ndi Imo, that our Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has done very well. The good people of Imo State have given him a seal of approval by aligning with him.

” He has domesticated APC not only in Imo State, but in the entire South East. With the people’s revalidation, Governor Uzodimma has led APC into being a grassroot party in Imo State”.

The political leader further applauded the Governor for his appointment of Owerri West indigenes into his cabinet as well as the frantic efforts the State government have made in resolving the Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO host community land among others.

The Chairman further called on Imo populace to join the Governor in his efforts to ensure continuity of progress and purposeful governance of the 3 R and Shared Prosperity mantra administration of the present government.

According to Muruako, ” I hereby urge Ndi Imo to continue to support Governor Uzodimma’s ambition for second tenure. I request that he be encouraged to continue the good works of which we are witnesses.

“For the records, these includes, but is not limited to improvement in general security, improved sense of responsibility in the management of public resources, massive infrastructural works, improved welfare services and many others too numerous to mentioned” he pointed out.

Among the eminent personalities who graced the press conference with him were; Chief Fidel Onyeneke, Hon. Lister Ikpe, Sir Eugene Opara, Barr. Bethel Nzimako, Dr. Mrs. Oby Oguzie, Chief Blessing Oduche, Hon. Victor Osuigwe, Hon. Humphrey Umunnakwe, Dr. Mrs. Regina Amadi among others.
