Tokyo 2020: D’Tigers suffer another defeat

By George Aluo
It was another bad outing for D’Tigers early Wednesday morning as they lost their second game of Tokyo 2020 to Germany.

The keenly contested encounter was one in which the Germans relied on a late rally in the fourth quarter to win by 99-92 points.

It would be noted that both Nigeria and Germany needed the win badly having lost their opening games. While the Germans lost to Italy, Nigeria fell to the United States of America.

Two players that put up superb performance in the Nigeria, Germany tie are the duo of D’Tigers Jordan Nwora and Germany’s Danilo Bartel.

D’Tigers would be up against Italy on Saturday in their last match of the group.

Attention would however shift to the D’Tigress on Friday as the Nigerian ladies try to get things right in the game against France. D’Tigress lost their first game of the tournament against USA.
