NFF Calls For Application on Renewal of FIFA’s List of Pro Bono Counsel and Disciplinary & Ethics Prosecutors

Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) has alerted the general public and relevant stakeholders of two FIFA Circulars addressed to all Member Associations regarding the Call for Application and Renewal of FIFA’s List of Pro Bono Counsel and Disciplinary and Ethics Prosecutors.

The Circulars according to the football house, invites qualified persons with requisite legal experience to apply to FIFA for inclusion in the lists of Disciplinary and Ethics Prosecutors and Pro Bono Counsel, which are scheduled to be published on 1st January, 2027.

It noted that as part of FIFA’s commitment to guaranteeing the rights of individuals who lack the financial means to defend themselves in proceedings before its Judicial Bodies, FIFA birthed the jurisprudence behind Pro Bono Counsel in 2019 to provide legal assistance to indigent members of the football ecosystem.

“As a corollary to Pro Bono Counsel, Disciplinary and Ethics Prosecutors are individuals knowledgeable in sports law, selected by the Secretariat of FIFA Judicial Bodies to support the necessary investigations into potential breaches of FIFA regulations.

“In view of this, FIFA has invited applications from interested applicants with requisite qualifications and experience to submit their applications via the links contained in this press statement on or before 30th October, 2026”, noted the statement.

The NFF advised all qualified Nigerian legal practitioners with proven experience in sports law to take advantage of this opportunity and apply accordingly.

It further advised interested persons to contact it’s Secretariat for further guidance and also apply via the application link below. https://jobs.fifa.com/postings/98d92efa-2d8f-4b08-918a-aa2d18d76369?token=pSeJM6zFkAPZ9cjz6Ywcqq2b
