Ethan Empowerment CEO gives reasons for giving back to the society

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ethan Empowerment Foundation, a grassroot community non governmental organization, Ambassador Justina Chinyere Orie has described giving back to the society as a way to know more about ones community and it’s citizens.
According to her, giving back means different things to different people. To some, it is giving time, resources, and donations to their communities, families, friends or group of people while to others, it is a way of appreciation for everything others did for them and a desire to do the same for someone else just as she noted that the fulfilling feeling of giving back and contributing to society cannot be quantified.
‘’Giving back will enrich your life, familiarize you with your community, and connect you to people and ideas that will positively impact on you for the rest of your life. Helping your community members in your own little way is an opportunity for you to grow as a person and to better understand how you fit into the world around you.
“As some may not know, it is in giving that we receive. Charity work is very important to me and gives me joy and opportunity to give back to my community.
“Overtime, I have always been a big supporter of many different charities, I have donated generously both in cash and kind to them, and I just feel great to do it and be able to help others, especially children until I founded the Ethan Empowerment Foundation’’ she explained.
Ethan Empowerment Foundation was founded in Lagos basically to contribute to the betterment of the society at large. It was officially inaugurated on Saturday 8th October, 2022 at the Magnificient International Event Center, Ikorodu Road, Somolu, Lagos and the organization has given scholaship to some orphans at the Royal Children School, Papa Ajao Mushin, Lagos in an effort to stretch hands of fellowship to the less privileged in the society.
Recognising the importance of skill acquisition which has helped many people to be self employed, the Foundation since its formation has trained some youths on tailoring, barbing, computer literacy, vulcanizer, tie and die and photography amongst others .
‘’During our October 2022 end of month outreach, we extended hands of fellowship and gave out food items to the less privileged who are mostly elderly people. This was well appreciated and that would encourage us to do more in future.
Ambassor Orie confided to newstap.com that the foundation has a lot on the pipeline all in an effort to better the society such as taking care of the out of school youths by training them on skill acquisition, giving scholarship to orphans who do not have the means of going to school as well as supporting widows who want to go into small scale businesses. ‘’Giving back to the communities and institutions that helped us achieve success is a value we share and a privilege we embrace. It’s not about giving back when you’re successful or a celebrity or how much money you have; it’s about your responsibility as an adult and useful citizen to help others,” she concluded.
