From Ejikeme Ikwunze, Umuahia

Just take a trip to Mbawsi in the Isiala Ngwa North LGA Abia State and feed your eyes with a well constructed mini stadium.

Named after an illustrious son Chuku Wachuku, the mini stadium was built by Honourable Ginger Onwusibe who represents Isiala Ngwa in the Abia State House of Assembly .

The well constructed mini stadium has a playing pitch of 100m long and 70m wide with lush green xosa grass makes the stadium beautiful befitting the landscape. The 500 sitting capacity mini stadium with strong perimeter fencing with Bill boards dotting strategic positions beautifies the mini stadium . The serene environment and accessibility by road makes the mini stadium a very viable alternative training site for football clubs and even the national teams .

With a propose site for a football academy , basketball and volley ball courts and a Gym makes the

Chuku Wachuku mini stadium very ideal

The Nigeria Football Federation should consider the mini stadium in the camping of our teams .

Ginger Onwusibe popularly called Onwa some call him Otawike and a former goalkeeper has gingered members of his constituency with a legacy project that will stand the test of the time !

This is the second mini stadium built by this great legislator

The first was built in Ntigha a couple of years ago ..

According to the late Fidel Castro of Cuba who once told his younger brother Raul Castro

“Where there are many men, with out honour there are always some who have within them the honour and dignity of other men”

Also in the words of philosopher and poet “ leaders must be close enough to relate to others but far enough ahead to motivate them”

This is a good example of Grass root development of sports …Ginger truly deserves an Award.
