Eid El Fitr: Keep spreading peace and love, NNL tasks football stakeholders

As moslems in the country join their counterparts in other parts of the world to celebrate the very important  festival of Eid El Fitr, the Nigeria National League (NNL) has enjoined them not to forget the teachings of Ramadan.

NNL media quoted the Chief Operating Officer of the league, Dr. Ayo Abdulrahaman, a devout muslim as saying that it is important that the festival which is all about love and peace guides Nigerians, especially those involved in the NNL, in their everyday life.

“We must continue to love one another at all times.”

He noted that love brings peace and unity, a situation that would eradicate violence in our football.

He stressed that stakeholders in the the nation’s Most Important league must adhere to the tenets of Islam.

“I urge stakeholders in the league to adhere to the tenets of Islam as this would see the league run in an atmosphere of peace. Football is played to promote peace and unity,” he said.

While asking the muslim faithfuls to celebrate with their neighbors and Christians, he used the auspicious  occasion to wish everyone the best of  Allah’s protection and blessings.
