Volunteer applications officially open for FIFA Women’s World Cup

• Over 6,000 volunteers will support world’s biggest women’s sporting event, which will be held across eight Host Cities
• More than 100,000 people have registered their intention to volunteer since July
• Interested individuals can apply now at volunteer.FIFA.com

FIFA invites individuals from Brazil and across the globe to become part of the world’s largest women’s sporting event by volunteering at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™. Registration is open at FIFAWomensWorldCup.com/volunteers.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of FIFA events, playing a key role in the organisation’s success. They provide essential assistance in over 20 functional areas, including Media, Technology, Transport, Competition Management and Ceremonies.

There will be more than 30 volunteering roles spanning competition and non-competition venues during the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™, from stadiums to airports, training sites and hotels.

Over 6,000 volunteers will be recruited to support the delivery of the tournament across its eight Host Cities: Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo.

“As Brazil prepares to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, we are inviting people from all backgrounds to become part of this extraordinary journey. Volunteering is an opportunity to build friendships across cultures, gain new experiences and contribute to an event that inspires generations. Together, we will deliver a tournament that leaves a meaningful legacy for fans, communities and the volunteers who help bring it to life.”

Since the registration of interest process was launched in July, more than 100,000 people have expressed their desire to take part in the event. However, this preliminary registration does not serve as an application.

To apply, prospective volunteers should join or log in to the FIFA Volunteer Community at volunteer.FIFA.com, select the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 tournament, and complete and submit the application form and a short online assessment. As applications will be open for a limited period of time, interested individuals are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Volunteers selected for next year’s showpiece will experience an unforgettable adventure and benefit from robust training, recognition initiatives and the opportunity to make a clear contribution in the Host City where they are on duty.

To participate in the selection process, candidates must be: at least 18 years of age at the time of application; a Brazilian national or legally permitted to enter Brazil during the competition; and available to commit to between seven and ten shifts during the tournament’s operational period in June and July 2027. No previous volunteering experience is required, but knowledge of Portuguese or English is essential. Additional language skills will be considered an advantage.

The role of volunteers at FIFA events

While volunteering is, by definition, unpaid, the more than two million people in the FIFA’s Volunteer Community proudly donate their time to help deliver FIFA events that unite the world through football. In return, they enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience, create lasting memories and become part of the team behind the biggest sporting spectacles on the planet. Volunteers at FIFA tournaments are assisted by experienced personnel throughout their involvement and provided with meals during their shifts, a full adidas uniform, transport solutions within the Host City and additional tokens of appreciation in recognition of their invaluable contribution.

In 2014, more than 13,000 volunteers played a vital role during the FIFA World Cup™ across 12 Host Cities in Brazil. Their dedication showcased the country’s warmth and hospitality, earning widespread praise from fans, teams and other stakeholders from around the world.
