Falcons go goalwire against Cape Verde

Five star performance! That was what the Super Falcons put up Thursday at the Abuja National Stadium (MKO Abiola arena).

The Nigerian girls made a mince meat of Cape Verde winning by five unreplied goals to put one leg firmly in Morocco for next year’s Women’s Nations Cup.

With the victory, everything points to the Falcons landing in Morocco after the Praia return leg.

Uchenna Kanu and Esther Okoronkwo scored a brace in the encounter with Monday Gift also firing one in.

It would be noted that the Falcons are also in the race to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Falcons would face Cameroon early next year in Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.
