PWA Wrestling Championship : LOC members pay courtesy visit to Comptroller Customs Western Marine Command

As countdown to the much advertised forthcoming Pro- Wrestling Africa championship begins, members of the Local Organizing Committee of the event, Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Comptroller Nigeria Customs Service Western Marine Command , Apapa, Comptroller Patrick Ntadi

Speaking during the visit, leader of delegation who also doubles as the Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya informed the Comptroller that they came to intimate him. about the championship as well as officially extend invitation to him as one of the special guest of honour during the fights.

According to him the championship which will attract wrestlers from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, Cameroon, DR Congo, Angola and Zambia will be held on May, 3 at the Gymnasium Hall of the National Institute For Sports ( NIS), National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

He also informed the Comptroller that the star fight of the day will be AIWF intercontinental heavyweight title fight between Nigeria’s Jimmy Palm ‘De African Dream’ and Jimmy James of Zambia.

“We decided to pay you a visit to officially invite you to the championship because we know you’re a sports lover and we also appreciate your involvement in sports development in your area of command”, noted Olukoya

Welcoming the team to his office, Comptroller Ntadi, commended the team for their efforts at promoting the sports of wrestling; saying that sports development is necessary for youths to be fully engaged and stay out of crime and other social vices in the country.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of the championship belt to the Comptroller.
