Amadi heads National Democratic Party in Imo

Ahead of 2027 general elections, and as a strategic measure to strengthen their hold in Imo State, the Eastern Heartland, the national leadership of National Democratic Party, NDP has appointed Hon. Kerian Amadi, an astute politician as the State Chairman of the Party.
Amadi who hails from Ihitte Afor Ukwu in Ahaizu Mbaise LGA of Imo State disclosed this while speaking with news men in a prestigious hotel in Owerri, Imo State capital.
According to the revered politician, ” NDP is a political party for the masses. The party believes in strict adherence to democratic tenets and principles. To the party, equity and social justice is non negotiable. We are firm, when it calls for good and purposeful governance”.
He reiterated that NDP is a party to watch in the forthcoming political dispensation as Nigerians with good conscience and patriotism have identified with the political party both in the State and the nation at large.
The chairman expressed gratitude to the national leadership of the party in their efforts to ensure that the political party is deep rooted in all the 27 local government areas as well as the 305 wards in the State.
Amadi described the acceptance of the party in Imo State as passionately volcanic while appealing to other Imolites who are yet to identify with the political party to hasten actions and register with the party.
He re-assured that NDP is one of the frontline opposition political parties in the country that means well to Nigerians in terms of welfare oriented, good governance, massive infrastructural developments and transformations, human capacity building, inclusiveness, transparency and accountability.
The Chairman also revealed that the political party still have leverage with Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for substitutions of candidates in Imo State for House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate for the 2027 elections.
