As boxers talk tough ahead of championship

Chief Executive Officer of De Lads Boxing Promotions, Alhaji Waheed Wasiu Alabi has assured boxing fans that there won’t be any dull moment at the Season 8 of it’s boxing show tagged ‘Battle of the Ages’.
‘The Season 8 of the championship will hold today, Sunday, June, 30, at the National Institute of Sports Gymnasium Hall, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos and Alhaji Alabi is. optimistic that the fights will live up to expectation.
According to him, his promotional outfit as usual had put all arrangements on ground to ensure a successful event just as he appealed to fans to troop out in their hundreds to support their boxers.
” You know that at De Lads we don’t take security and logistics for granted because we always give out the best to make sure our fans have value for their money and today’s event won’t be any exception”, he stated
On what has been his driving force on his consistency in boxing promotion, he explained that his love for the game has kept him going as he want to give talented youths opportunity to excel in the sports just as he appealed for corporate support to his efforts at developing world class boxers for the country.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of Nigerian Boxing Board of Control ( NBB of C), Remi Aboderin said that apart from national challenge contests that are on the card there will also be a West African Boxing Union title fight.
Aboderin who also doubles as President of West African Boxing Union ( WABU) commended De Lads Boxing Promotions for what it’s doing in professional boxing in the country, describing them as partners in progress
Already, boxers that will be in action today are already taking tough ahead of the fight.
Speaking during the weigh in on Saturday, Raheem Animashaun a Super Lightweight boxer noted that he’s ever ready to showcase the stuff he’s made of and will not take anything for granted against his opponent just as he commended De Lads Boxing Promotions for believing in the youths and investing his hard earned money in boxing.
Also speaking, a Cruiserweight boxer, Franklin Arinze noted that he’s ever ready for the bouts with a warning to his opponent that he will not spare him when they climb the ring.
