Ardova PLC Extends Sponsorship of Nigeria Handball Premier League for One Year

Ardova PLC (AP) and the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) have agreed to extend their partnership for the sponsorship of the Nigeria Handball Premier League.
Under the agreement, the country’s premier domestic handball competition will continue to be known as the Ardova Handball Premier League, reinforcing AP’s commitment to the growth and development of handball in Nigeria.
The agreement follows the conclusion of the initial three-year sponsorship agreement between AP and HFN, with both organisations working together to support the development of the league while supporting the development of players, coaches, officials, and other stakeholders within the Nigerian handball ecosystem.
Speaking on the agreement, the Chairman of AP, Dr. Sowami said the company was delighted to continue its support for Nigerian handball and its athletes.

“Our support for the Handball Federation of Nigeria reflects our belief in the potential of Nigerian handball and our commitment to supporting platforms that create opportunities for our young people.

The Managing Director of AP, Dr. Babatunde-Ojo, noted that the sponsorship goes beyond commercial sponsorship, stressing that it represents an investment in the future of Nigerian sports.
“The Ardova Handball Premier League has continued to provide a platform for talented Nigerian athletes to compete, develop and showcase their abilities.
We recognise the value and impact of this competition, and the value it creates for the players and other participants.
“Our objective is to see a league that is professionally organised, highly competitive, and capable of producing athletes who can excel nationally and internationally.”
President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria, Mr. Jibril Saidu Ojih (FNIQS), expressed appreciation to AP for its continued confidence in Nigerian handball.
“The Handball Federation of Nigeria is delighted to partner with AP for another year. This is a strong vote of confidence in the direction of Nigerian handball and, most importantly, in the potential of our athletes and the domestic league” Mr. Jibril said
The Ardova Handball Premier League has become an important platform for identifying, developing, and exposing talents who represent Nigeria at various levels.
“AP’s support will assist the Federation in planning and delivering the next edition of the league while further improving its standard, organisation, and visibility.

The HFN President, who also thanked his predecessor, Mr. Samuel Ocheho, for his selfless efforts in working with the board to achieve the feats, further stated that the Federation would continue to work closely with AP to improve the league’s visibility, competitiveness, professionalism, and overall impact.
The agreement is expected to strengthen the Nigerian Handball Premier League, enhance the quality of competition and provide an improved pathway for players to progress from domestic competition to the national teams and international competitions.
The Ardova Handball Premier League remains a major pillar of the HFN’s domestic development programme, bringing together the country’s leading clubs in both the men’s and women’s categories.
With the support of AP, the HFN is excellently poised to build on the successes recorded in previous editions of the competition.
