Attorney Nwogu emerges Aboh Mbaise/ Ngor APP House of Reps candidate

The member representing Aboh Mbaise/Mbaise federal constituency, Attorney Dr. Matthew Irondi Nwogu has been nominated by the Action Peoples Party, APP, to fly thier flag in the oncoming general elections.
Hon. Nwogu was nominated the Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala federal constituency APP candidate Friday at the Umueze Ezemba Town Hall, in Ngor Okpala LGA, venue of the exercise by teeming members of the party from the federal constituency.
Announcing the outcome of the party primary election, the Returning Officer, Mr. Chijioke C. Nwordu, declared Hon. Nwogu, the winner and consensus candidate of APP in the federal constituency for the 2027 polls.
Hon. Nwogu who was the sole aspirant for the House of Rep seat in the contest was unanimously voted and adopted candidate of the party in the exercise witnessed by two national officers of APP, INEC and DSS officials, homeland security personnel and teeming party faithful.
Speaking to our correspondent immediately after his emergence, Hon. Nwogu commended the members of his party for their support which according to him, led to his seamless nomination in a peaceful party primary election.
The serving federal legislator who noted that he still has about one more year to the end of his current term, stated that he is still working and will continue until the expiration of the term next year.
He remarked that despite daunting challenges, he has achieved more than his predecessors within a time frame of three years, insisting that his decision to run for another term is to enable him do more for the constituency.
The attorney expressed joy on his nomination saying it renewed his zeal to work just as his re-election will enable him to do more in the areas of youth and women empowerment, job creation, motions and bills, provision of infrastructure, completion of ongoing development projects and more.
He said, “I feel very happy, excited and ready to go to work. For now we still have one year left in the current tenure and I have always said and continue to say that what we have been able to do in the federal constituency in three years and eleven months we have been there is tremendous. If the combined work of my predecessors in three years equals what we have done, I will resign my position.
“I went there for service and I think by the grace of God, we have sufficiently complied. I wish to ask my people to give us the opportunity to do more because Rome was not built in a day.
“We should be able to consolidate and improve on the things we are doing including all the necessary bills and motions we have been able to pass, the infrastructural projects we have been able to provide, creation of jobs and empowerment to our youths.”
