My target is to become the youngest boxing champion in Nigeria – Raheem Animashaun

Nigeria’s young sensational boxer, Raheem Animashaun, said his target is to become the youngest boxer in the country to win a national title.

Raheem who fights as a Light welterweight will on Sunday meet Akintunde Abolade in a national challenge contest at De Lads Boxing Promotions Season 6 championship billed for the Indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere Lagos.

The boxer who will be the youngest fighter of the night stated that having recorded a technical knockout against his opponent in his debut, he will waste no time stopping Abolade in his second fight.

” I have prepared very well for the fight and nothing will stop me from recording another knockout against my opponent, Sunday night because I’m more experienced and knowledgeable than him, began the boxer popularly known as Badoo by his fans

” I’m aware that Abolade has been boasting that he will defeat me; I like his confidence as that will make the fight very interesting but I want to assure my numerous fans that he will not last beyond the third round because with persistent pressure, I will knock him out”, he sounded confidently.

” Boxers like Abolade cannot stop me from progressing in my career. I’m the youngest professional boxer right now in the country and before the end of the year, Nigerians should be expecting to see the youngest boxing champion in this country.

“I’ve heard people say that am young and inexperienced but I want them to realize that there is a great difference between being young and inexperience and that’s what I want to prove very soon and I will definitely do that”, he concluded.
