SV award : Organizer rolls out nominees’ list, adds three new categories

The much awaited names of awardees for this year’s Sportsville ‘Special Recognition Award’ will be rolled out tomorrow in Lagos.
Adekunle Salami, the Chairman of the Organising Committee disclosed this last night. “Yes, all is now set for this important aspect of the award, making the list public!
“I am excited about the quality of personalities that made the cut this year. In all we have 21 nominees in five different categories.
“Three new categories: ‘The Most Innovative Person of the Year’ , The Integrity Person of the Year and the Coach, Player and Media Officer of the year for the NPFL have also been added.
These additions, according to Salami, the Group Sports Editor of Daily Telegraph, are to reinvigorate the award with components that are critical to Nigerian sports development.
“In years to come, Nigerians will appreciate the need to honour these sets of people,” he explained
