First NewHope Naija Scouting Championship, Partners Henry 707 Sport Limited
The maiden edition of the NEWHOPE/Henry 707 Sports limited, is set to light up Lagos, as every modalities and condusive environment has been put in place for a three day world class scouting championship, taking place in Lagos next week.
The world class football scouting program, which is put together by NEWHOPE Naija FC, in conjunction with Henry 707 sport limited, will not only expose and give young graciously gifted players a platform to showcase their God given talents, but will also make them better persons in the society and country at large.
The three day football fiesta, which is ably coordinated by one of Nigeria’s most heavenly gifted and experienced FIFA CIES Alumni and football consultant, James Adebayo and Henry 707, will oversee the full coordination of one of the biggest scouting programs taking place from 27th to 29th April, at the Onikan stadium, Lagos.
Tournament coordinator, James Adebayo, has said that with the quality of club directors and football scouts coming from different parts of Europe and other parts of the world to scout for players in this program, he is confident and optimistic with the quality of teams participating in the program and that players that will be picked from this program, will go on to be global stars.
“Twelve teams will be participating in this program, and before we picked the teams, we went round to see the set up and structure of the teams, we made sure, the teams have very young players that are suitable for this program, with what I saw from the teams and players, I am totally convinced, we will have a program, that will live in our memories for a long time”, James said.
“We have club, vice presidents, football directors, scouts coming from various parts of Europe and other parts of the world to Lagos for this epic event, so without any iota of doubts, this program will produce future stars”, Adebayo added.
Meanwhile, the participating teams have been drawn into different groups with winners of each group qualifying for the semi finals and battle for a place in the finals.
Winners of the scouting championship, will go home, with a cash prize of five hundred thousand naira, (#500, 000), plus a giant prestigious trophy, while the second placed team, will get a cash reward of Two hundred thousand naira only, (#200, 000), the most valuable player and best goalkeeper will smile home with cash prizes of Fifty thousand naira each, (#50, 000).
