Eagles survive Lions in Austria ‘return leg’

By George Aluo

Gernot Rohr’s Super Eagles failed again to impress in Austria as they could only manage a goalless draw against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in today’s back to back international friendly.

Cameroon had in the first encounter on Friday beaten the Eagles by a lone goal.

Unlike the first encounter which the Eagles dominated, the Lions today came out more forcefully to do a double against the Eagles.

It would be noted that while African countries would wait until September to start action in the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Europe would from this weekend be on fire with the delayed Euro 2020 Championship. Italy is billed to face Greece in the opener at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
