NBBF/Zenith Bank women’s basketball League: Customs, Air Warriors, Plateau Rocks through to final 8

Air Warriors Basketball Club of Abuja have sealed their place in the final 8 of the NBBF Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League scheduled to hold in Lagos State next month.
Warriors secured their place in the final with a comfortable 60-44 points win over Plateau Rocks on Thursday on Match Day 4 of the Savannah Conference play-off at the Lafia City Hall, Shedam Road, Lafia, Nasarawa state capital.
In the other game played on Thursday, Nigeria Customs were too strong for Nasarawa Amazons despite the home crowd drumming up support for them. Customs took Amazons apart 88-61 to register a 27 points margin victory.
The biggest game of the Savannah Conference play-off between Nigeria Customs and Plateau Rocks that is also through to the final 8 comes up today on the last day of action in Lafia.
Nigeria Army and Nasarawa Amazons meet in the other game of Match Day 5. Both teams need a win to garantee their place in the grand finale of the NBBF Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League.
Already, Nigeria Customs and Air Warriors both of Abuja alongside Plateau Rocks have qualified for the final scheduled to hold in Lagos.
After the conclusion of the Savannah Conference play-offs today in Lafia, attention shifts to Asaba, Delta State for the massive show down in the Atlantic Conference play-off between the 2nd and 8th of October.
