Iyake Festival will boost economic development of Oyo State -Iwajowa LG boss

The Executive chairman of Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Jelili Oyinloye, has reiterated the commitment of the state government to boost the tourism sector of the state stating that the upcoming Iyake international festival will improve the economic development of the state.
He stated this while speaking with journalists during a press conference organised ahead of the annual cultural event at Ado-Awaye inside the Alado Hall, National Museum of Unity in Ibadan on Thursday.
Oyinloye explained that the Iwajowa local government is ready to collaborate with other local government in the Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo state towards the success of the 3rd edition of the Iyake international festival scheduled to hold from November 14-16 in Ado-Awaye, Oyo State.
The council boss further stated that the Iyake Lake when fully explored will attract international recognition and tourists from around the world which would also serve as a bigger source of revenue for the state.
“Many tourist sites that we have in Ado-Awaye if well explored will serve as a source of employment opportunity for the youths and also boost the internally generated revenue (IGR) of Oyo State.” said the ALGON chairman of Oke-Ogun LGs.
