The visitors were on target four times but no thanks to VAR, all the goals were disallowed for off side, while Napoli scored twice to record a 2-0 victory.

Napoli shot into the lead in the 8th minute courtesy of Elseid Hysaj’s effort and got their second goal deep in added on time with Alan doing the job.

Sassuolo astonishingly got their 37th, 49th, 61st and 74th minute goals ruled out for off side.

In the other games decided Saturday, former Super Eagles forward Victor Moses helped Inter to secure a 3-0 away victory over Genoa, while Parma beat Brescia 2-1 away.

Champions in waiting, Juventus would on Sunday face Sampdoria in a match in which a win would see them claim the Serie A title.
