ANFPU congratulates AIG Umar on Interpol victory in Turkey

The nation’s apex players union body, the All Nigeria Football Players Union (ANFPU) has congratulated AIG Garba Baba Umar on his victory last week in Turkey where he was elected the Vice President of Interpol.

Umar who is the security adviser to the nation’s soccer governing body, NFF, was elected as the Vice President of World Interpol at the body’s 89th General Assembly which took place in Istanbul, Turkey.

ANFPU in a statement signed by its BOT chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi stated that Umar has done the country proud describing him as a worthy ambassador of the country.

ANFPU stated that they are proud of the police chief who has been very supportive to the nation’s ex players.

“AIG Umar has done the country proud. We say congratulations to him on his election as Vice President of Interpol. We are proud of Umar’s achievements and we are happy to have him as a member of the nation’s football family. He has played his role well as the security adviser to NFF,” ANFPU stated, even as they prayed that God should continue to bless and guide him as he discharges his security duties in the service of the country.
