By Ifeanyi Eduzor
Benue FA Chairman, Chief (Dr) Paul Edeh has given a pat on the back to Super Eagles after yesterday’s victory over Rwanda even as he tasked the team not to rest on their oars.
Edeh who was still basking in the euphoria of the 2-0 victory over Rwanda said the Eagles must not take things for granted in Tuesday’s home game against Zimbabwe at the Uyo Nest of Champions.
“I was particularly happy with the way our boys approached the game against Rwanda. We saw a Super Eagles that were very aggressive and hungry. This is the same approach they should adopt against Zimbabwe. With this approach we would by God’s grace go all the way and secure the 2026 World Cup ticket.”
Edeh was also full of praise for the NSC, NFF and the supporters club pointing out that virtually every stakeholder was on the same page a situation that made the victory in Kigali possible.
