Udoka Eko Udoka elected as Kosofe NAATO unit Chairman.


The Kosofe unit of the Lagos state chapter of the National Association of Athletics Technical Officials ( NAATO ) has elected a new set of officers to run the affairs of the Association for the next four years.
The election which was held on Monday 23 February, 2026, at the Ikosi Senior High School Ketu,Lagos, produced Mr. Udoka Eko Udoka as chairman while Mr. Ikuesan Daisi Sunday is the Vice Chairman.
Other elected officers include, Secretary-Mr. Awoniyi Sodiq Opeyemi, Assistant Secretary, Miss Ukaegbu Esther,
Treasurer-Mrs. Odetokun Iyabode Olufunke and Financial Secretary, Mr. Ekwebe Joel.
Others are; Publicity Secretary.
Mr. Olatunde. A. Olusola
Welfare-Secretary, Mrs. Omotosho Rachael B, and
Provost Marshall, Mr. Christian Umoh.
Handing over power to the newly elected executives, the out-going Chairman, Mrs. Otoide Ann thanked God Almighty for guiding the immediate past executive under her watch and highlighted some of the key achievements of the past regime.
Mrs. Otoide in her characteristics, commended the Special guests including NAATO Assistant Secretary General, Mr. Olusegun Oriola Omodunni, the former Lagos State NAATO Chairman, Mr. James Aina and the former Lagos State NAATO Secretary, Comrade Ige Olawole Jenyo for honouring their invitation.
Not forgetting the Lagos state Athletics Association Technical Director, Coach Funmi Lola Otegbeye while
Special awards were given to the father and mother of the Kosofe NAATO unit, Pastor Ekpokpobe Gabriel and Alhaja Balogun Wuraola and the Auditor of the unit, APT, Ojediran Olubunmi.
In his acceptance speech, the newest chairman in town, Mr. Udoka Eko Udoka, gave kudos to the 3-man electoral Committee members, led by Mr. Ajobiewe William Babasola- Chairman, Mrs. Adefowoju Sarah- member and Mr. Olawuyi James for conducting what he described as a free, fair and credible election.
Mr. Udoka also gave special thanks to the immediate past chairperson of the unit, Mrs. Otoide Ann, for all her support and encouragement prior to the election.
He also thanked the unit members for electing him and pledged to run a transparent regime.
