Access Bank co- founder, Herbert Wigwe, wife, son, others die in plane crash

Herbert Wigwe, the co- founder of Access Bank and the founder of Wigwe University is dead.

He died in a fatal helicopter crash in California, United States of America with his wife, son and three others including AIG Abimbola Ogunbanjo.

He was one time Managing Director of Access Bank and later became the CEO of Access Holdings, the parent company of Access Bank.

According to reports, the chopper was heading to Las Vegas when it crashed near a border town between Nevada and California on Friday night.

Further information has it that a very close family member of the Wigwe’s was also in the ill fated helicopter.

The Federal Aviation Administration said that the Eurocopter EC130 helicopter crashed at around 10 p.m. local time near Nipton, Calif, an unincorporated community about 60 miles south of Las Vegas in eastern San Bernardino County.

It was unclear where the helicopter departed from and where it was headed.
