Nigeria Paralympic athletes back in the country.
Team Nigeria athletes to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in France, have all returned to the country.
Made up of 24 athletes excluding officials, the team returned to the country yesterday and today in three batches.
The first batch which carried the Golden Para- Powerlifters, landed at 11 pm Nigeria time with AIR MAROC while the second batch that was made up mainly of Para Table Tennis players arrived 8 am this morning. through Qatar Airline .
The last batch which contained the Para- Ahletics team arrived 12 noon today.
Based on the above fact, all team Nigeria Paralympic Athletes at Paris have returned safely into the country.
President of the Paralympic Committee Nigeria, Mr. Sunday Odebode has given God all the glory for the safe return of team Nigeria athletes from Paris, France. Odebode equally commended the Sports Minister, Senator John Owan Enoh for being there for the athletes
Also happy for team Nigeria safe trip to and from Paris is Prof. Mariam Adefunke Suleiman, the President of the National Association of Nigeria Women in Sports (NAWIS). She thanked God for guiding our athletes all through.
Meanwhile, the returnee Paralympians are full of praises for the FMSD Lagos Liaison officer, Mrs Nkana .Mbora for her motherly role in mobilizing Lagosians who besieged the Muritala Mohammed International Airport yesterday and today to welcome the victorious Nigeria Paralympic Contingent
Nigeria won a total of 2 gold, 2 Silver and 3 bronze medals at the Games.
