Transforming African Pro- wrestling, a task that must be accomplished – Olukoya
Secretary General of Pro-Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya said that there is no going back in transforming the mats man game in the continent, as doing so will help talented young men and women become world beaters in the sports.
According to Olukoya who is an African professional wrestling analyst, manager, promoter, columnist (WrestleMap.com), publisher, crusader he’s been in the vanguard of propagating wrestling in the continent as well as making moves to ensure the sports is further developed not only in Nigeria but the entire African nations
” I have been propagating African pro- wrestling for close to four decades since 1988 and I have visited almost all the African nations that have semblance of professional wrestling likewise Europe and the USA.
“I run Pro -wrestling Afrik Promotions; a registered pro- wrestling body which is the African link to the Pro-Wrestling world.
“I’m also the Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa (PWA) the body that serves as the mouthpiece of the game in Africa as well as represent the interest of the continent of Africa internationally.
Olusesan who also doubles as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a board member of the Golden Wrestling Federacy (GWF) based in Florida, USA stated that the recent inauguration of professional wrestling in Togo is a sign that the body is desperately moving on in developing the sports
” We’ve just started rebranding the sports and taking it to all the nooks and crannies of the continent.
“In February this year, we inaugurated wrestling in “Togo” which was very massive and we hope to also inaugurate it in the other West African
countries and probably African countries that are yet to feel the excitement in the mats man game.
It would be recalled that PWA was established in February 2015 at Yaounde, Cameroon and since then they’ve promoted professional wrestling championships in Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana and Togo. Zimbabwe, Botswana and Benin Republic and plan to do more.
