NNL Chairman harps on adequate security at match venues

Chairman of Nigeria National League Mr. George Aluo has charged various state Football Associations to ensure adequate security at all NNL match venues in order to avoid security breaches by some unruly fans.

He stated this Thursday at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena ( Onikan ), Lagos where he watched the match between Lagos side, Trade Safe FC and FC ONE Rocket of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

According to him all the successes recorded by the most important League in the country will be rubbished if there’s inadequate security at match venues, noting that the various state Football Associations must do the needful in this regard.

” It’s important that we take the issue of security serious at match venues because when there’s adequate security it helps in reducing incidence of hooliganism and crowd intimidation of match officials and we at the NNL is taking this issue serious.

” But it is the various FA’s that must ensure that enough Police men and other security agencies are on ground to watch over the fans. Although, they’ve been trying in this regard except in one or two places where this have been breached but we’re taking steps to address it.

Aluo while expressing happiness with the successes recorded in the first stanza of the League and the ongoing second second stanza promised that the board of the second tier League will continue to improve on the successes to make the league the best in the country.

Meanwhile in the explosive encounter between the two sides, Trade Safe FC and FC ONE Rocket of Uyo settled for a 1-1 draw.

The Ndubuisi Ndah tutored FC ONE Rocket scored first in the game before the home side rallied round to equalize to ensure that the visitors did not run away with the vital three points at stake
